Thursday

April / May

ok whoa its been like a month since I last blogged ! I really am such a bum, eh? Anyways, I'm in midst of my AS exams and I have a politics test in less than eight hours. Yet, I'm here, UNABLE TO SLEEP hence I shall make a pathetic attempt to write about what I've been doing over the past few weeks. Mind you, I would blog a lot more just that my life is pretty boring...

Studying politics in the park.
Spring over here is beautiful, though it still rains like shit all the time...

she actually does take pretty good pictures.

She actually teared up when she saw this.

Tongue piercing, which I got 3 weeks back.
Did not hurt as much as I thought it would but taking care of it is such a pain...

So yeah, that was my lame attempt to write a post.
I need to stop being so lazy...
Will try to blog about something more interesting soon.
LOOKING FORWARD TO AFTER EXAMS BABEH...
Till the next time xx

Saturday

Too lazy ;)

Haven't blogged in absolutely ages.
Its partly my fault and partly cause my laptop decided to crash on me!
Anyways, I had a good two weeks in Penang and now I'm back in the UK, about to face exam season
and as such I am stressed as hell.

O HALE SPRING TIME !
You've been long delayed but finally, spring has arrived ;)
Can't wait for after May xx

Sunday

HOMECOMING

Keeping my homecoming a secret was probably THE hardest thing to do so far in 2013. After making a very embarrassing plead to my parents via email approx two weeks ago, they allowed me to come back for Easter (which lasts for two weeks) but on a few conditions.

In the bus in London on Friday the 29th of March. Hung out with a few AS and A2 people before heading to Heathrow for my evening flight. We went to Camden Town, which is this reaaaally cute bazaar-ish / grunge-ish area.

With Sarah, one of the AS girls in Camden Town

AFTER A FREAKING LONG 12 HOUR FLIGHT that lasted forever cause I was alone and had no one to talk to, I finally landed in Singapore and embraced the humid heat with open arms. And when the plane landed in Penang I had this stupid grin on my face the whole time...
BUT
The best part was surprising everyone ;)

My lovely beautiful mother whom I love very much !

So we went to have dinner at this nyonya restaurant on Nagore Road. Just as we were walking to the restaurant, BY SOME TWIST OF FATE Sher-Lyn's car drove past and apparently there were a couple other friends in the car as well. My surprise plan sort of backfired a while there, cause the first one that was supposed to know was Cynthia.
Turns out they were going to Piknik to celebrate Emily's 18th birthday. Joined them for a little while (and surprised Emily as well) and damn, that felt good. Although its been only 3 months, I feel as though home was so distant and well, its good to be back :)

Polaroids of the night

My darling Grace :)

Once again happy birthday Em. Must feel great to finally be legal!

THE NIGHT WASN'T OVER THOUGH!
Went to Cynthia's house to surprise her after dinner. Her parents opened the door for me and they had like this puzzled expression on their face. Cynthia, who had just come out of the shower and was still in her towel stood there stunned for a while. I THINK I WAS MORE STUNNED THOUGH cause she looks so cute with her new braces :p
We went to pick MeiYuet up, who was also mad shocked to see me and thought that Cynthia had bought a car similar to mine... until she saw my face HAHA
Went to Library at Straits Quay to chill for a while and have a few drinks while talking. It felt like the good old times again (unfortunately, Grace had mass) but yeah, I totally missed my seals.

Greeted my parents a good morning, and my stepdad replied me with that!
God, my parents are the best and sweetest in the world.
Picked Bryan up from his place to go to Gurney later on in the day. Was a bit annoyed cause my Digi 3G is failing on me and my macbook battery is gaying on me :(
Jason and Cynthia came over to meet us a while later. We had TPF (after so god damn long) and then watched Warm Bodies. Until now I still have no idea what the stupid show is about.

sugar is good for the heart ;)

Chilled with Cynthia for a bit and met up with Grace later on before having dinner with my parents at Sushi Tei. Felt like heaven eating the sashimi and etc... nothing I would've ever been able to afford in London (which sounds like a dirty word to me right now)

Salmon sashimi & salmon belly OMNOMNOMSSS

At Winter Warmers with two of the seals

Till the next time xx !

Saturday

March blues

Hellooo there blogosphere !

The countdown to Easter has officially started.
In (about) two weeks, I'll have my break, and hence, a much needed down time from this spring term.
I miss home so much, its starting to hurt :( [another drama queen moment here].
And one more thing, SPM results in 4 days.  I'm freaking out so badly its not even fucking funny anymore

By the way i got sick of the red hair (which was turning into a disgusting shade of brown anyways) and so I dyed it back to black. In dire need of a haircut right now cause my fringe is getting annoying... but oh well :( I'll just have to wait till I go home.

Random one of Sofia and Ee Fen during their debate a couple of weeks ago !
Ying and I did one on gay marriage just a few days ago and it was pretty fun.

Went to a uni fair last week at Earl's Court in London with Sofia, Ying and Yi Wei. Funny how with just one edu fair, I changed my mind on what I wanna do in uni.
PPE (Philosophy, Politics & Economics) in Oxford is practically IMPOSSIBLE to get, so maybe I'll apply for History & Politics instead... ahhh life decisions.

Lunch at Chinatown

Being a basketball spectator at Kings Cross

Attended a senior's birthday dinner at Cosmo's just a few hours ago! Was glad cause we had sashimi :D Didn't really take much pictures cause the rainy weather is making me have a 'don't fuck care' attitude about how I look, hence I won't post anything from tonight.

Birthday present

Sofia's masterpiece (took her an hour cause my hair is EXTREMELY layered)

ahhhh Sheldon!

Really very lazy + tired hence the jumbled up & disorganised pictures...
Oh well...
Till the next time xx

Monday

All along it was a fever
A cold sweat hot-headed believer
I threw my hands in the air and said,
"Show me something,"
He said, "If you dare come a little closer."

Round and around and around and around we go
Oh now tell me now tell me now tell me now you know
Not really sure how to feel about it.

Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way.
I want you to stay
It's not much of a life you're living
It's not just something you take – it's given

Round and around and around and around we go
Oh now tell me now tell me now tell me now you know
Not really sure how to feel about it.

Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can't live without you.
It takes me all the way.
I want you to stay.

Saturday

Barcelona part 3

Day 4

Before the trip, we were told that we were supposed to have an 8 hour bus ride to wherever... Don't know how they could miscalculate that much but we only ended up having to take an hour ride to Montserrat, a sightseeing venue. I must say though, this place was reeeeaaally high up! It was snowing on the peak as well as windy hence many of us found that it was almost too cold to handle.

On the way to the top

All snowed out

To be honest, there wasn't much to do at Montserrat. Unless you're the type that particularly likes scenery, you probably wouldn't find this place very interesting. The art gallery we went to had very promising paintings of the Black Madonna as well as other medieval and renaissance-ish art pieces.

Candid group shot while waiting at the info counter

The church at Montserrat, however was beautiful! A really nice place to take pictures, except that we weren't really allowed to. Did manage to capture a few shots though.

In the courtyard of the church

We left soon after having lunch in the cafeteria there. As the choir wasn't available on that particular date, it was decided that we would leave early to go to Torres Vineyards situated rather nearby, another highlight of the trip for wine-tasting.

In love with this picture

View of the hills

Torres Vineyards was about a 45-50 minute drive from Montserrat. Had a very interesting road trip in the bus as the Sofia, Ee Fen and I made tons of embarrassing videos... almost everyone else was sleeping hence we couldn't make noise!

Sofia and Ee Fen with chocolate sticks !

What girls do when we're bored

Found this in the college Facebook page... spot me
At least I'm nice to put a smiley face on the guy who's sleeping HAHA

Anyways, cause we were such a big group, we were given a tour around the vineyards in a very cute train-like vehicle. They showed us how and where they stored their wines as well as a brief explanation about the wine-making process (which honestly, none of us cared too much about). It was the wine-tasting after that which we enjoyed even more.

Told you its cute !

We went to a little town after that as we had plenty of time before dinner. With only 20 minutes to walk around and shop, some of us grabbed some snacks and others even managed to squeeze in some shopping.

Mini Birkin lookalike. Please ignore my stupid face

During our walk

They didn't tell us where we were going to go for dinner that night so we were pretty surprised when we found out dinner was at Hard Rock Cafe.
How weird right, Hard Rock for dinner when in Barcelona!

Day 5

The last day we had in Barcelona ! Which was really sad :'( We spent the morning at a park designed by Gaudi, called the Park Guell. Quite a funny thing happened that morning, cause everyone thought I got lost, when actually I was in the ahem* shop...

Near the entrance

Staircase leading to the top

Two pretty girls

We went back to Las Ramblas in the afternoon for lunch as well as shopping. Lunch was pretty okay, but shopping failed, cause apparently, THE SHOPS DO NOT OPEN ON SUNDAY!!!!
(&@$*^@&^$@&*%$^!$!(*^$&$!%$!)*^&%

Churros !

Seafood paella

Nachos with cheese ! Super fattening max

Chicken paella

Girls trying to look pretty and boys... uhhhh

As we were not able to shop, we ended up going to Catalunya Square again to .... play with pigeons !
Okay feeding isn't really considered playing with them but everyone seemed to have quite a lot of fun except me. Didn't even get to take a decent picture of myself while doing it :'(

Sof looking photogenic while pigeon-feeding

and me... wtf

We passed by this dessert / cake shop which had the cake above on display. Everything looked SO good but unfortunately, was expensive as hell ):

Chocolate cake Sof bought to commemorate our last day

After that, it was BACK TO CROYDON. Sunday night in the plane was really depressing cause not only were we tired and sleepy, but it was the end of the trip and we had college on the following day...

Baileys, red wine, rose wine and Remy Martin on board

Hoodie day!

The following will be random captionless pics from the trip taken from Ying's camera (not in any particular order) :

And if you haven't watched the video we compiled throughout the trip, here it is :)
Overall, I really enjoyed the five days we had in Spain. Though it was unexpectedly cold at times and we had to walk way too much on certain days, good company is what makes or breaks a holiday.

Just more random shit I've been up to lately...

Pastel pink 14" satchel from The Leather Satchel Co.

Feasting on a Friday night
Sashimi platter // Nutella crepe // French onion soup

Guess that's all !
Till the next time xx
